This page was created to record and display for the populace, entries into the Kindgom of Meridies Arts and Science competition.

Kingdom A&S Faire 2007, held June 2nd at the Woodsman of the World Camp in Royal, AL, had around 28 entries. For the first time, we videotaped every performance to post to this Web site. It was also the very first "Historical Combat Recreation" entry in the Performing Arts. Check out the video of the different performances on the performances page.

There were three perfect scores this year:

One for the Saxon Daeg project where a bunch of folks got together and re-enacted a day in the life of a Saxon village, including making bread and cheese, holding mass and court, and making a cauldron.
• One for the period bowstrings where the entrant tried all different materials and bows, etc.
• And one for tubular tablet weaving that came complete with a magnifying glass to examine it.

Congratulations to Myrgjol Gunnvaldsdottir for winning the Champion of the Arts!

Congratulations also to our two new Laurels: Ciarra, the pottery merchant, and Gareth, the bard who is the head of Saltare currently.
